CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION
CSI: Crime Scene Investigation is an extremely well made and popular show. It is a very gripping fiction series that brings you the lives and careers of crime scene investigators. It is created by Anthony Zuiker and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, and is generally filmed at Universal Studios in California; but the show is based in Las Vegas, Nevada.
This show follows around several different characters, it follows their lives, and the lives of others around them, such as family members, and their medical problems, drama, etc.
It is an extremely gripping drama that has many viewers. It has been inspired by many spin-offs which are just as popular and intriguing as this original show. The other spin-offs include CSI: New York and CSI: Miami. But I believe that the original CSI will always reign supreme. This show is still running, and I believe it to be in its 10th season; which will be ending in a few weeks.
The criminologists this show follows solve cases using physical evidence rather than “word of mouth”. The show is very graphic, and is not for the young. There is an age restriction before the show even airs in its regular time slot. The music for this show is also very compelling; the shows theme song is sung by the Who, and the title is “Who Are You”. This song has never changed during its run, and still remains popular.
The main characters for CSI are Gil Grissom, Sara Sidle, Warrick Brown, Catherine Willows, Nick Stokes, and Jim Brass. The rest of the characters are not always in the shows; but these first main characters are the regulars.
Gil Grissom is the night shift supervisor and has an unspoken relationship with investigator Sara Sidle. In the later episodes he leaves and makes few appearances on the show. He is best known for being cultured in many of the fine arts, and is a very thorough scientist. He left in the ninth season, and is reported as to have being married to Sara Sidle in the tenth season.
Sara Sidle is an investigator with CSI, and is known for her love of children, and harshness for parents who abuse them. She has a lot of problems, and is constantly in a pursuit for supervisor Gil Grissom. They eventually get married in the tenth season.
Warrick Brown is known for his obsessive gambling problem. But he is a good investigator, and brings a lot to the show. Unfortunately he is shot and killed in the ninth season; which brings a huge blow to the viewers of CSI and also to the characters of CSI as well.
Catherine Willows is the daughter of a hotel owner, who is continuously giving her money for her, and for her daughter, in hopes that they’ll have a better relationship, and also to cover up any crimes or murders that happen in his famous hotel on the Las Vegas strip. Her mother was a Las Vegas dancer, and she is divorced. She becomes a supervisor for CSI in the later seasons.
